German Surfing Championships
I managed to make it through all the heats till the final which was meant to be on friday. As the sun rose friday morning we were greated by 3-4 foot clean, offshore and pumping surf. The open final was the last heat of the competition to enter the water at about 16:00 local time. The 4 competitors in the final were Severin Clasen, Arne Berkwinkel, Arthur Wystrychowski and me. I scored a good wave right at the start of the heat which scored me a 7.33. From here on I was in the drivers seat and managed to score another good wave. Second place went to Arne, who was allways close behind me, only needing a 6.83. He is a young surfer who spents his summers in France and his winters in Ecuador. Third place went to Arthur, which I see as one of germany`s best goofy footers. Fourth place went to Sevi, who is like a brother to me and recently got signed by Quiksilver.
Thanks to everyone who supported me, the DWV for the good organization and all the helpers and those who made this event happen.
El viernes amanecía un buen día despejado, off shore y unas olas muy bonitas de menos altura que los días anteriores. La final, que se disputo a marea llena entraba al agua sobre las 16:00, en la que entramos Severin Clasen, Arne Berkwinkel, Arthur Wystrychowski y yo. Tuve mucha surte al coger nada mas empezar la final una muy buena ola que fue puntuada con un 7.33 que sería mi mejor ola de la final junto con un 6 como segunda mejor dejando detrás mio a Arne un joven surfista que pasa el verano en Francia y el invierno en Ecuador. En tercer lugar Arthur, bajo mi punto de vista uno de los mejores Goofy de Alemania y en cuarto lugar Sevi que es para mi como un hermano, recien fichado por Quiksilver.
Gracias a todos los que me apoyaron, a la DWV por la buena organizacion y a todos los ayudantes y los que hicieron posible que este evento se realice.

La pasada semana se celebraba el InterSexxyOn Surfilmfestibal en San Sebastián. Envié un video de un minuto. No gané pero ya estar entre los finalistas para mi es un gran honor. Just arrived in France, got some good waves and the forecast for this weekend looks pretty good. Happy to be here all summer, working for Wavexperience and enjoy the waves from the Atlantic Sea.

Volcom and Friends Training
Hace unas semana me dijeron para ir a Lanzarote junto a algunos de los riders de Volcom... Encantado les dije que SI!!!

Muchas gracias a Sylvain por los entrenamientos, Davinia y su madre por la comida y hospitalidad. Al equipo entero por la gran semana juntos y como no, a Charlie por haber hecho posible todo esto.
Campeonato Circuito Nacional y Canario de Surf
El municipio tinerfeño de Guia de Isora acogió, un año más, a la primera prueba del Circuito Nacional y Canario de Surf, en memoria a David Mesa.
Las buenas condiciones propiciaron una jornada idílica para la práctica del surf, con tiempo soleado todo el fin de semana y poco viento. El sábado las olas alcanzaron un metro de altura, mientras que el domingo se disfrutó de olas un poco mayores.
El alto nivel de los surfistas quedó patente, sobre todo desde las primeras mangas, donde solo logré pasar gracias a la enorme suerte que tuve en los últimos segundos.
Finalmente Julián Cuello se alzó con la victoria dejando a Antonio Marqués tercero, a la joven promesa Iván González en cuarto lugar y a mi subcampeón de este evento.
Un gran abrazo y agradecimiento a todas las personas, club, organizadores y sponsors que hayan hecho posible este evento.
